Chelsea works across Mental Capacity, Community Care and Mental Health law, with experience in a range of welfare matters.

She represents P and their RPR in deprivation of liberty and best interests proceedings before the Court of Protection, including matters involving the Official Solicitor, advises on and secures section 17 and 20 Children Act 1989 support for eligible clients, and represents clients detained under the Mental Health Act.

Mental Capacity

Chelsea works on welfare cases, particularly deprivation of liberty and best interests proceedings. Chelsea has experience representing P’s RPR, and also P through their litigation friend. She has assisted colleagues on various matters where we are retained by the Official Solicitor in proceedings before the Court of Protection



Community Care

Chelsea is developing an expertise in securing section 17 and section 20 Children Act 1989 status for eligible clients, and advising clients on their eligibility for section 17/20 CA 1989 status.



Memberships

Chelsea represents clients detained under the Mental Health Act.
